Over the summer, I found myself missing driving a stick shift. I didn't miss it quite enough to fully commit to a manual car as a daily driver, so I shopped around until I found a well-used little coupe with a service history that made me feel confident enough to take it home. I figured I could use this as an opportunity to learn a few things about general maintenance and make little modifications here and there. After the first few hundred miles, the shifter and leather covering (I learned this is called a shift boot) started looking pretty rough, and I decided this would be my first little project. As many new projects typically reveal, it's usually a little trickier than anticipated. I watched videos, bought tools, and tried to take my time. Several replacement/proper spec part and tool purchases later, I can confidently say I am now very familiar with how to disassemble and reassemble a 2018 Honda Civic center console. The mistakes made and lessons learned along the way will only make the next project a little easier. (hopefully 😁)

Levels of evidence

Higher levels of app integration increase our technology's confidence that a human wrote the text.

  1. Keystroke timing was captured by the Chrome extension as the author typed, then analyzed against human capability thresholds to verify a natural writing rhythm.
